Under a new partnership, EBAY (EBAY) shortcut icons will appear on the desktops of nearly 8 million new consumer PC's from leading manufacturers Dell (DELL) and Lenovo in the next few months. EBAY has long had existing partnerships with HP (HPQ), Sony (SNE) and Gateway (GTW) so presumably they have good data on what proportion of 'out-of-the-box' PC desktop icons convert to new users or additional traffic.
Add this partnership to couponing as new marketing initiatives aimed at stimulating new active user growth.
